PCNW Faculty Show at Arts West Gallery was last night. Patricia’s pieces were beautiful. Erin Shafkind’s were also incredible. Theirs were my favorite by far. Erin has the photo of a lady in a red coat holding out an old typewriter. Great blue background behind the red coat. Patricia had four underwater photos on canvas hanging from a curtain rod. The model looked like a flowing mermaid meets silky tapestry. Elegant and graceful. The red wine was great and so was the cheese. Afterwards we had drinks across the street at the Matador and then sushi next door at Mishiko’s (fantastic place). Geoduck (“gooey” duck) is not very good it turns out. Not that it looks good either. Tasted like the bottom of a boat blech. Oh and Patricia is up walking again (yay!)
